In addition to having the general health of the sire and dam checked prior to mating, we generally try to ensure that the additional following specific health checks are performed and that, if applicable, are "current" at the time of mating:
- Eyes: Evidenced by current CERF Certificate(s)
- Patellas: Evidenced by OFA Certificate(s)
- Hips: Evidenced by OFA Certificate(s)
- Hearts: Evidenced by OFA Certificate(s)
Please note that even by having the aforementioned health checks performed, there can be no absolute guarantee that some health related problems could not arrise. These health checks, though, should hopefully decrease the chances of such. Further discussions concerning the health of specific dogs and any exceptions to the aforementioned can be done in private.
